Users/beneficiaries: UCF faculty seeking peer review for their NSF proposals from other
System Synopsis: SuPeR is a new workflow-based web system for UCF researchers to submit their NSF proposals for review by their peers at UCF who have already had success in their proposals and have volunteered their time for peer-review activities. Reviews are managed by submission managers that are part of the Proposal Development team at Office of Research & Commercialization. It integrates with ARGIS.

Young Entrepreneur & Scholar Scholarshsip Program

BIP Reporting (Business Incubation Program Reporting)
Launch: February 2014
Users/beneficiaries: UCF's Business Incubation Program
System Synopsis: System that keeps track of data from different Business Incubation sites for the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Information is tracked at the site-level and at the company-level and includes, but is not limited to, site affiliation, client type and status, DUNS and EIN number, entry and exit date, CEO/founder contact information, headcount, grants awarded, angel investment, revenue, award funding, milestones, and notes.

My Online reView of E-Docs

MOVE (My Online reView of E-Docs)
Launch: October 2013
Users/beneficiaries: Office of Research & Commercialization and Office of General Counsel
System Synopsis: MOVE is a web system for submission of research-related or other contracts for legal review by Office of General Counsel. Contracts can also be sent for review by ad-hoc reviewers before being sent to OGC. System has different approval workflows defined for different user groups. Pre-approved template library allows users to create contracts off of templates/verbiage that has already been approved by OGC. It integrates with other enterprise systems like ARGIS for linking researchers, projects, agreements, or license information and TERA for executed contracts.

Young Entrepreneur & Scholar Scholarshsip Program

YES (Young Entrepreneur & Scholar Scholarship Program)
Launch: April 2013
Users/beneficiaries: UCF Students and faculty in the following departments: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, YES Program Managers, NSF
System Synopsis: YES is an web system available for young UCF scholars in the STEM disciplines to apply online to the Young Entrepreneur & Scholar Scholarship program that helps them do advanced research with mentors in the areas they are interested in and or land internship opportunities in industry. The selection committee then reviews and evaluates the applicants. The system allows the YES program managers to generate reports for NSF and keep track of the YES program applicants and their project work.

Florida Angel Nexus

FAN (Florida Angel Nexus)
Launch: June 2012
Users/beneficiaries: Central Florida entrepreneurs, Florida Angel Nexus partners that include UCF's Venture Accelerator group, Florida Institute of Commercialization of Public Research, Florida High Tech Corridor, and more. 
System Synopsis: The FAN web system provides a market place for entrepreneurs to showcase their companies and attract investments from venture capitalists in the Central Florida area. Entrepreneurs can create one or more company profiles supplemented with a Video pitch and additional documents.
Company profiles are reviewed and rated by a set of advisors before being made publicly available for investors. Investors can also take a survey to rate companies they are interested in. The FAN web system allows users to leave feedback on a company's video pitch page; it also allows entrepreneurs, investors and advisors to comment on individual sections of the company's profile with the advisor acting as the moderator before publishing comments.

eFacilities and Administrative Cost System

eFACS (eFacilities and Administrative Cost System)
Launch: Fall 2011
Users/beneficiaries: Office of Research & Commercialization and Huron Consulting Group to do cost analysis and generate cost models of UCF facilities. The resulting models are later used by UCF departments.
System Synopsis: The data models available and created within eFACS are used by UCF sponsored research to determine the appropriate Facilities & Administrative (F&A) rate to be applied on all university research.

Integrated Research Information Systems

iRIS (Integrated Research Information Systems)

Users/beneficiaries: UCF researchers, students, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and departmental chairs
System Synopsis: Web-based enterprise-level system that provides a single interface for managing the submission, monitoring, renewal, and termination of research involving human subjects. The iRIS system facilitates clinical study management, compliance management, and Institution Review Board management within an integrated system- allowing ease of access to information, streamlined workflows, and a reduction in duplication of information and effort on the part of researchers and administrative professionals. It integrates with ARGIS for user's home department information and sign-off workflows.

System Synopsis: DataPro is a desktop financial application to track the budgets, income and all account metadata of Research Foundation (RF) accounts. The system is integrated with other enterprise systems like ARGIS, PARIS and ECRT. PARIS integration allows users to easily see the financial data of their Research Foundation accounts at any time. It is also integrated into ECRT allowing users to certify their effort charged to RF accounts.

Aurora Reporting Services (A University Resources Online Reporting Appilcation)

Users/beneficiaries: UCF researchers, department chairs, deans, Provost, contract & grant managers and research administrators
System Synopsis: AURORA is an enterprise web system which provides on-demand or subscription-based reports on funded research activity at UCF. Users can view reports on expenditures, new funding, and current burn rates among other reports, many of which are available at both aggregate and detailed levels. It integrates with ARGIS and F&A's DataMart.

Users/beneficiaries: UCF faculty, departmental administrators, Office of Research & Commercialization
System Synopsis: ARGIS is a web-based enterprise-level system which provides users direct access to the information needed for managing funded research. Items tracked by the system include proposals, funding, licenses, and other agreements. The system also allows users to report and document hazards and conflicts of interest that impact the compliance requirements of their respective research. It integrates with PeopleSoft.

Users/beneficiaries: UCF faculty, departmental administrators, Office of Research & Commercialization, UCF Finance & Accounting
System Synopsis: PARIS is an enterprise web system that provides a window to researchers, chairs, deans and administrators to monitor proposals, awards, financials and assets for funded research projects at UCF. The awards section allows users to view contract details and financial information for awarded contracts and grants from the Office of Research & Commercialization. The research financials section allows users to access an account's Budget & Expenditures, Payroll information, Revenue, and Budget Details. The Research Asset Database provides location, description and principal investigator details for research equipment valued $10,000 and above. It integrates with ARGIS, DataPro, Payroll (HR), and F&A's DataMart.
