Business Analyst/Quality Assurance/Customer Relations

Quality Assurance graphicOur group work as a liaison between both the ORC technical staff and ORC & UCF community stakeholders on any UCF research projects/system. The group performs functions such as requirement gathering, translating technical issues, and interpreting business needs. We perform quality testing and validation on all of our systems and reports that are used by the entire UCF research community, along with providing the technical user support.

 

 

 

 

 

Datacenter & Reporting

Datacenter & Reporting graphicOur datacenter and reporting team maintain a research administration data warehouse and from this source supply reports to all ORC units and the entire UCF community. Colleges, departments, institutes and centers, faculty, research administration staff, accountants, auditors, as well as UCF administrative units such as the Office of Information, Analysis and Assessment, and the Office of Operational Excellence and Assessment Support, all benefit from our datacenter.  Our reporting team produces both standard and ad hoc reports and has spplications which allow for both push and pull dissemination of these reports.

 

 

 

 

System Development & Maintenance

Our programming team maintains nine web-based applications that service the UCF research community; five of which were completely designed and developed in-house, and one in partnership with the Institute of Simulation and Training. We perform both systems integration and system development needs for the research administration community, working directly with clients and end-users in order to tailor information technology solutions that address our clients' specific needs.

 

 

 

 

 

Server & Computer Support

Server & Computer Support graphicOur server & computer support team currently maintains more than 300 personal computers and peripherals devices, and 25 servers and related equipment for ORC and other affiliated institutions.  The ORC ITG server room consists of high speed network connection, secure university firewall, backup power supply, redundant climate control, 24/7 system monitoring and backup recovery.  Immediate desktop support is available from our desktop support team Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm.
